Russia resumes air travel to South Africa, Denmark, Peru Oct 5

MOSCOW, Sep 23 (PRIME) -- Russia will resume air connection with Djibouti, Peru, South Africa, Denmark and New Zealand from October 5, a representative of the government’s emergency center for the fight against the coronavirus disease told reporters late on Wednesday following a meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.

“As a result of the discussion and considering the epidemiologic situation in the states, a decision is made to resume mutual regular air connection with the states from October 5,” the person said.

Russia will also increase the number of flights to Bahrein, India, the UAE, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan from October 5 and to Sri Lanka from November 4, as well as resume air travel to new cities of the earlier opened India, Spain, Kyrgyzstan, the UAE, Uzbekistan and Japan.

Suspension of air connection with Tanzania is prolonged until November 1.
